BSA Troop 205 is no longer using ScoutLander.

Welcome to the Home Page for BSA Troop 205.  We are part of the Spanish Trail District in the Pine Burr Area Council.

We are proud to be chartered by the First United Methodist Church of Long Beach, MS and meet at our facility on 207 East 1st St, Long Beach Mississippi in Harrison County.  We are currently 32 scouts / 4 patrols strong.

The Boy Scout model is to be "Boy Led / Adult Guided".  Here, the Scouts are in charge and make the decisions about weekly/monthly agendas and choosing our monthly camping destinations.   Adult leaders provide an environment that allows boys to experience what it means to be a "boy scout".   Our strong weekly attendance, fantastic facilities, and attraction of boys from all around the Long Beach area confirms our "old school" approach is exactly what boys are searching for.

If this sounds like something your son (or you) would be interested in for yourselves, PLEASE feel free to stop by and visit us any Tuesday night at 7 PM.  If you have any questions about Scouting or the way this troop operates, please check out our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page or click the "Contact Our Troop" link at the top of the website to email a Troop member!

    We especially welcome:

- 2nd years Webelos Scouts and parents searching for a Boy Scout troop that is right for them

- Current Boy Scouts who may be "bored" or having other issues in their current troops

- Former Scouts who may have quit before giving another troop a try
