Hello, my name is Andrew Boyer. I was a Cub Scout as a grade schooler in the Shawnee Mission School District. My son Austin has been a Cub Scout since 1st Grade is now a 5th Grader at Merriam Park Elementary working towards his Arrow of Light. I got involved into scouting as a kid to have fun, make friends, go camping and learn new things. I got involved as a leader to share these same experiences with my son. I also want to help him and the other members of the pack learn about respect, patriotism, nature, and self confidence. Furthermore, I hope that they enjoy their time as a Cub Scout so much that our members want to continue thru Webelos and Boy Scouts all the way to Eagle Scout.
Scouting was a great experience for me as a kid, and I promise to do my best, to do my duty, to make your son and mine into loyal scouts and responsible citizens.
